A monthly journal for your children
It is amazing what ideas you can come up with, if you allow yourself the time and space to think. It's not an original idea, but one day while journaling, I thought of something simple that I could do for my children, that would likely mean a lot to them in the future, and I immediately implemented it.
I got an empty A4 size notebook for each of them, and every month I handwrite them one page about what we did that month, what they did that month, or just any other thoughts I want to convey to them. I also print out about six pictures of them and what we did that month, in a very small format, and tape them onto that page somewhere.
I have been doing this for the past few months, and have been loving it. My children can look through the book at any time, but when I give it to them when they are older, it will be a nice way for them to look back on their childhood, through my eyes. I think that everyone would like to know how things were throughout their childhood. Our memories alone are not great when it comes to this, so this is a great way to document a lot so that you don't have to rely on your memory alone.
If you have children, I would highly suggest doing something like this for them, and partially for yourself. Even if you don't have any children, do this for yourself, so you have something to look into the past with, in greater detail.
Don't be afraid to look into the things for yourself, have your own thoughts, and establish your own stance and opinions. Be the curious sheep of the flock.
